Frequently Asked Questions
The HAWK TE Professional is a severe-duty floor buffer/polisher designed for heavy commercial use. Its robust construction allows it to handle various tasks, including stripping, scrubbing, polishing, and carpet shampooing.
The "TE" stands for Totally Enclosed Fan Cooled motor (TEFC), which is an industrial-grade design. This motor type is durable and protected from dust and debris, extending its lifespan in commercial environments.
The HAWK TE Pro typically drives pads and brushes at 165 RPM (or sometimes 175 RPM, depending on the exact model configuration).
Ensure you are wearing appropriate safety shoes. Unroll the power cord completely to prevent overheating or circuit issues. Adjust the handle to hip height for comfort and control. Engage the thumb-operated safety switch and squeeze the dual steel operating triggers simultaneously to start the machine.
Control side-to-side movement by subtly lifting or lowering the handle. Lifting the handle slightly moves the machine left, and lowering it moves it right. The machine should rest in a balanced, neutral position when running correctly.
After each use, unplug the machine from the power source by grasping the plug, not the cord. Remove the pad or brush, rinse it thoroughly, and store it flat to prevent misshaping. Wipe down the machine's exterior to remove any residue.
