Collection: HAWK Freedom

Frequently Asked Questions
The HAWK Freedom (and Glide XHD) uses a unique "Floating Head" wheel carriage design. This allows the machine to be steered in a forward and backward motion, unlike traditional "swing buffers" which require a side-to-side operation. This design provides 100% pad contact with the floor, offers greater safety, and significantly reduces operator fatigue.
The HAWK Freedom is versatile and can be used for stripping, scrubbing, and carpet maintenance. It can be used with various pads and brushes depending on the task and floor type.
Ensure the operating handle is in the operating position (typically hip level). Place both hands firmly on the handle grips and push the safety switch lock forward before squeezing the power triggers with your fingers.
Movement is straightforward due to the floating head design. To move forward, simply push the machine forward. To move backward, pull it back. The machine is designed to be pushed or pulled in a straight line, eliminating the complex side-to-side balancing required by traditional buffers.
The standard HAWK Freedom (Glide Freedom) operates at 175 RPM (revolutions per minute).
First, disconnect the power cord from the electrical outlet for safety. Tilt the machine backward so it rests on its wheels and the upper handle section. The pad or brush is attached to the pad driver, which typically twists onto the machine's clutch plate. Ensure the pad is centered on the driver to prevent shaking or vibration.
